Island of Dr Moreau

The Island of Dr. Moreau

The Island of Dr. Moreau is one of the first books by H.G. Wells that I have read. I was not as interested in the stories themselves, but the way he writes is just amazing. They are pretty complex and definitely different from anything else that I have read before. The Island of Dr. Moreau is probably my least favorite. I did not care for most of the characters Edward Prendick encountered, and I thought the experiments Dr. Moreau was performing were quite gruesome. The whole story is just kind of strange. However, I did like the ending and how Edward was able to get back home. If you like Science Fiction and books with strange and different story lines, then I would definitely recommend this one. Personally, I tend to lean towards more realistic books.

The Fellowship of the Ring

The Fellowship of the Ring (Lord of the Rings, #1)

Great YA ( young adult ) book. It took me awhile to finish because it's so detailed but very interesting and worth the time it takes to read, with a very complex fictional history to go with it and amusing characters. Cant wait to read book 2.

Messenger

Messenger (The Giver #3)

Awesome book! I love that they brought the characters from books 1 and 2 together in the 3rd book. When I was reading the other two books I thought that other than Lowry's great writing they weren't going to have anything to do with each other but they did! I was so happy and surprised. A must read!

Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life (Midde School, #1)

I really like this book because half the things that happen in that book usually happen in real life. Now there is lots of stuff that would not be possible (well if you read the book you will know what I mean) this would be a good book for you if you like some non-fiction some fiction and some exaggerations.

Practical Martial Arts for Special Forces

This is a great book. It is outdated like the rest of the military books. It gives you a ok picture of the idea of special forces combat in the 90s.
